Two large water birds are experiencing a real demographic boom that seems unstoppable. The Mute swan, from the white plumage, and the cormorant, black as the pitch, have invaded lakes, ponds, swamps and rivers, and beyond appearances, both are successful creatures.

Behind the elegant and aristocratic appearance of the Mute swan, there is an energetic bird that does not tolerate intruders, and also challenges men. Once confined to parks and gardens, the Mute swan along with other birds regained freedom and transformed our lakes into amazing tropical paradises.

Different species of herons and cormorants, however, have been wild ever since and have always eaten fish ; soles, bass, mullets, catfish.
If herons and cormorants were few, their impact on fish resources would be negligible. But if their number explodes? What happen? Cormorants can no longer be content with what the sea and lakes offer and are forced to push into the heart of cities, as long as there is water and above all fish.
