The teams and boats are pushed to breaking point with safety and survival at stake. GUYOT environnement – Team Europe are sailing back to Cape Town following structural issues, whilst Team Malizia lost their headsail, damaging their mast in the process. The crew must now attempt to make repairs at sea – made hugely difficult by the rough sea state. Meanwhile Team Holcim-PRB extend their lead in the east.
