Step aboard OLLEANNA, the OE 32 that Canadian skipper Isa Rosli 🇨🇦 will sail solo, non-stop around the world in the 2026 Golden Globe Race! 🌍⛵
In this full GGR 2026 Boat Tour & Interview, Don McIntyre takes us through Isa’s remarkably well-prepared 32-footer — one of the smallest boats in the fleet — just after Isa passed his safety inspection with flying colours.
Isa’s road to the start line has been anything but easy. With no major sponsor, unexpected repairs to a soft coachroof and deck added nearly €30,000 to his preparations, but he kept pushing to make the start.
And OLLEANNA already has some serious GGR history behind her. The boat competed in both the 2018 and 2022 Golden Globe Races, making 2026 her third attempt at the great solo circumnavigation.
During the tour we look at:
⛵ OLLEANNA’s OE 32 setup
🧭 Sextants and celestial navigation equipment
📻 HF radio and emergency communications
🛟 GGR safety and survival equipment
⚓ Windpilot self-steering system
☀️ Solar power setup
🔥 Heating for the Southern Ocean
🍳 Galley and life aboard a 32-foot boat
🥫 Isa’s food plan for up to 300 days
💧 His huge water-storage strategy
🔧 Repairs and improvements made after his qualifying voyage
Isa also shares the personal story behind his GGR dream — from discovering the race in 2018 to finally committing himself to the 2026 Golden Globe Race.
Now he has an even bigger goal: to make history for Canada by becoming the first Canadian to complete a solo, non-stop, unassisted round-the-world race. 🇨🇦
One man. One boat. One world.
