😂 NO DAILY MESSAGES, 20 CASSETTES, A TEDDY BEAR… AND A VERY STURDY BOAT! ⛵🌊
🇫🇷 Meet LOUIS KERDELHUÉ, one of the most wonderfully straightforward characters in the Golden Globe Race 2026, in this entertaining pre-start edition of 16 QUESTIONS!
Louis doesn’t waste words — and his answers might just make you laugh! 😂
📻 20 cassette tapes and 20 books to keep him entertained at sea.
🧻 How much toilet paper? “I’m just going to pack it until it’s full!”
📱 Daily messages to race headquarters? Louis initially says NONE… before being reminded they’re mandatory! 😅
⛵ His secret weapon? He believes he has the sturdiest boat!
🧸 Lucky charm? A teddy bear!
💪 What could stop him finishing? Breaking the boat — and he’ll try his best not to!
❤️ Who’s been his biggest supporter? His manager, Dominique.
And when asked how he’ll feel leaving Les Sables d’Olonne on start day, Louis has a very honest answer:
“Very happy to leave… and finally be alone!” 😂
Behind the humour is a sailor ready to face an extraordinary challenge: sailing solo, non-stop around the world using traditional navigation and communication equipment.
