Rudolf Bannasch and his son Philipp represent two generations of innovation at EvoLogics, where inspiration from nature meets advanced underwater technology.
A polar researcher, passionate diver, and bionics pioneer, Rudolf drew on extensive studies of penguins and dolphins to develop new approaches to underwater communication and robotic systems. This work led him to found EvoLogics, a company dedicated to translating biological principles into innovative technologies for the underwater world.
Philipp grew up around diving and studied Mathematics and Physics before joining EvoLogics, where he has spent more than 13 years developing advanced technologies and now heads the company’s Artificial Intelligence department. He also regularly takes these technologies underwater himself, testing equipment and training alongside Special Forces, police, and EOD divers.
At Diving Talks 2026, father and son will share the EvoLogics story—from Rudolf’s pioneering research and the origins of the company to a new generation taking its technology into the age of artificial intelligence.
