ALL ANGLES: Black Foils and DS Automobiles Team France Crash in Auckland | SailGP

It was the crash heard round the world as New Zealand’s Black Foils and DS Automobiles Team France came together in a high-speed collision in Auckland. The incident occurred on the opening day of the event, when the New Zealand F50 lost control approaching Mark 1 at speed before sliding sharply into the path of the French F50 catamaran. Both boats sustained significant damage and two athletes were injured in the crash – fortunately all are recovering well and the French team is expected to return to the start line in Rio next month.
