The film deals with the two populations of brown bears that still live in the Wild in the Italian mountains. Marsican bears are the smallest European bears, feeding mainly on plants and interact with local human population because they like to exploit honey and fruit on farmland. There are only twelve fertile females, capable of giving birth to cubs.
The public opinion is divided: Some want to hunt them, some love having them back in their natural habitat, and some want to see them in zoos.
