🌊 WEEK 4 SAT PHONE CALL | ERTAN BESKARDES | GGR 2026 – 02/10/2026
Ertan Beskardes is clearly enjoying life at sea — and especially his Window LIVE! 😄
After talking almost nonstop for two and a half hours on the live the day before, Ertan catches up with Don by satellite phone as he continues pushing south.
His race strategy right now? Keep it simple:
⛵ Keep the boat moving. Take the shortest route. Keep going.
After being knocked around for two days during the tropical storm, Ertan says the boat is back in great shape. The damaged sprayhood has been repaired, the systems are working well, there are no signs of barnacles, and he is enjoying the tropical temperatures.
With changing winds around the Doldrums, Ertan isn’t interested in making big tactical detours. He plans to stick to his “bread and butter” route and keep MissBeagle moving whenever possible — even if she isn’t always heading exactly where he wants.
And ahead of him?
🌊 Another 16,700 miles of open ocean.
From navigation and life onboard to Window LIVE, radio chats and simply enjoying the adventure, this is Ertan exactly as GGR followers know him — positive, talkative and loving every minute of the experience.
