If Day 2 opened a new chapter in the history books with Maaike Huvermann ending Sarah-Quita Offringa’s unbeaten run in the Single Elimination since 2007, then Day 3 raised the bar once again as the world’s best freestylers produced one of the greatest displays ever witnessed in competition. An overnight pulse of swell transformed Sotavento into the ultimate freestyle playground, providing perfect ramps on the way out and immaculate flatwater between the waves. The result was a spectacular day of innovation and progression, culminating in one of the highest-scoring finals ever seen on the PWA World Tour. Lennart Neubauer and Yentel Caers pushed each other to extraordinary heights in an unforgettable showdown, while Balz Müller capped an inspired week by claiming his maiden World Tour podium. If there was ever a day that showcased exactly why Fuerteventura remains the spiritual home of competitive freestyle, this was it.
