On June 14, 2025, one of Sea Shepherd’s ambassadors, Croatian free diver Vitomir Maričić, managed to be crowned with a Guinness World Record after holding his breath for far longer than most people could survive. On June 14, he ducked down in a pool and stayed there for 29 minutes and 3 seconds.
In this video, he shares with you the challenge posed by such an exploit and the motivation behind it, which is more than modest: protecting the oceans. Thank you once again, Vitomir, for your dedication to your beliefs, your trust in us, and your love for the sea.
