With no action on the first day of the Alacati Windfest Youth & Junior Slalom World Cup, we caught up with event organiser, Jimmy Diaz. After 20 years as the PWA President, he turned his attention to the youth and together with his wife Cagla Kubat, they now run a very successful windsurf school in Alacati, but also are the organisers of the founding event on the Youth & Junior Slalom World Tour – the Alacati Windfest.
Entering its 5th year, and now with 130 riders registered it is easily the biggest event on the Youth Tour and shows that windsurfing is well and truly thriving in Türkiye!
