The Playa Surf Hotel Tenerife Windsurf World Cup kicked off today as part of the larger Wind and Waves Festival that takes over the town of El Medano from the 31st July to 9th August. Not only hosting one of the premier World Cup wave events of the season, but also a fun festival for windsurf fans and tourists alike. With food stalls, activities and music acts, there’s something for everyone and after the celebrations this evening during the opening ceremony, it’s clear it’s going to be a great week on and off the water.
