👀 Right after departing Auckland with the Allankay for our expedition to Antarctica, we crossed the International Date Line. This imaginary boundary divides the world into the West and East, shifting your clock back or forward by 24 hours depending on your direction. 🗺️

Traveling to Antarctica is tough. The voyage can be uncomfortable, as the Southern Ocean often presents significant challenges. Being away from home for months in one of Earth’s harshest environments adds to the difficulty for the crew.
However, our passion is fueled by preserving a tiny orange crustacean, #krill, one of the largest mammals, #whales, and an entire #Antarctic ecosystem, all under threat from human activity.
