Three #grinds occurred last week in the Faroe Islands; however, that doesn’t mean the killing season has ended. At any moment, another pod of #whales or #dolphins could be driven ashore.
Almost every grind our crew documents reveals the same tragedy: pregnant females killed, and their unborn calves cut from their bodies. Last week, we also witnessed and shared images of the deaths of juveniles so young they didn’t even have teeth yet—still nursing their mothers’ milk. Entire generations wiped out in a single hunt.
We have to ask: if the Faroese put so much effort into hiding the fetuses, is it because even they know this is indefensible?
