The search for the Pirate King’s treasure moves to The Bahamas.
In Episode 2 of The Mystery of the Pirate King’s Treasure, Dr. Sean Kingsley, Chris Atkins, Dr. Michael Pateman, Tatyana Lockhart, Nick Maillis, and the crew begin the first stages of our search in the waters around Nassau Harbour.
For centuries, Nassau was one of the most infamous pirate strongholds in the Caribbean — a place of wrecks, smugglers, privateers, treasure hunters, and legends. Now, our team begins investigating the waters where history says pirates once ruled.
In this episode, we explore the story of Nassau’s pirate past, then snorkel and dive three locations in and around the harbour, looking for clues that could help us understand whether traces of Henry Avery’s world — and possibly his ship, The Fancy — may still be hiding beneath the waves.
