Before our ships can face storms, patrol remote waters and stand between wildlife and human exploitation, they must be rebuilt, reinforced and made ready. Refit is not glamorous, but it is the backbone of every mission we carry out at sea.
In this video, you go behind the scenes of the refit the fleet and follow the transformation of our three main vessels: the Allankay, the Age of Union and the Sea Eagle. Steel is repaired, systems are tested, and crews work relentlessly to prepare these ships for what lies ahead.
This work is demanding. It is loud, exhausting and often invisible. But without it, there are no campaigns, no patrols and no protection for the ocean.
And it only happens because of people.
People who volunteer their time, skills and energy to be here. And people who support this work through donations, making every refit and every mission possible.
If you feel called to defend the ocean and want to be part of the Sea Shepherd Fleet, you can apply through our website in the "Get Involved" section.
If you cannot join but choose to support us by donating, that support is just as vital. Thank you.
The ocean is under pressure.
The fleet is preparing.
The mission needs you.
