Takumi Moriya took down reigning World Champion Yentel Caers in the quarter-finals today to book himself a spot in the semifinals!
The young Japanese rider is one of the hottest young talents in the freestyle scene, but to beat the current World Champion shows that he is no longer just an up-and-coming rider but one of the strongest forces in the fleet.
His first final appearance will have to wait however as Dieter van der Eyken defeated him in the semifinal but his first podium finish is still within reach and we’ll have to see how the week unfolds as to if he can make this happen.
