At first, it becomes difficult to keep count. Whales are surfacing in every direction, again and again.
This is exactly why the team is here. Through systematic transects, every sighting is recorded to understand how these waters are being used.
And a pattern begins to emerge. The same areas where whales are feeding are also the ones targeted by the krill fishing fleet.
This is how observation turns into evidence.
