In memory of the 1,428 dolphins killed in a single Grind on this day in 2021, we mark September 12th as #WorldDolphinDay. A day to honor these intelligent, social beings that so many of us love and cherish.
But we believe dolphins deserve more than just a day. That’s why we’re extending World Dolphin Day into #DolphinWeek — bringing you powerful content about these extraordinary animals and why they must be protected.
We must never forget: on September 12th, 2021, a Grind spiraled out of control into one of the largest #dolphin massacres in history. This is why we make noise. This is why we fight for change.
💙 Our vision is clear: we don’t want the Faroes to be known for the Grindadrap. We want them to be known as a Living Fjord.
