🤏 The shorter route from our departure port in New Zealand to #Antarctica is to head south first, then turn back up. Because the Earth is round (yes, it is! 🤯🌏), traveling below the #PolarCircle before heading to Ushuaia is much faster.
However, this route takes us into the #SouthernOcean, known for its strong currents, as Chief Mate Baptiste explains. 🗣️
