Long associated with the legend of Edward Teach, better known as Blackbeard, this hilltop site opens the door to one of the most infamous stories of the Golden Age of Piracy.
Was Blackbeard really connected to this place, or is it part of a larger Bahamian legend that has survived for more than 300 years?
When the storm finally passes, Nick Maillis takes the team far outside Nassau Harbour to dive a suspected 1860’s Confederate blockade runner. But that is only the beginning.
With no GPS coordinates, no map, and only Nick’s memory guiding the way, the team heads farther offshore to a location he has never publicly revealed before.
What they find is everything they hoped for.
