🌊 The #CoralTriangle: the ocean’s most vibrant heartbeat.

Though it covers just 1.6% of our seas, it shelters 76% of all coral species, 3,000+ reef fish species, and the world’s most marine turtles. 🪸

But today, we face a far graver danger: #coralreefs globally have crossed a climate tipping point, a threshold beyond which their collapse becomes self-reinforcing: risking cascading catastrophes. 

In short: some reefs may already have passed the point of no return. The consequences won’t stay confined underwater. 

That’s why we’re standing side by side with the #Bougainville Police Service, to defend the Coral Triangle and try to slow this global unraveling.

Because protecting coral isn’t just about the reef, it’s about protecting life itself. ✊ Because one reef lost is one too many.
