At the edge of the world, the giants are returning!
Around the remote South Orkney Islands, whales are gathering in extraordinary numbers, feeding in the same waters where industrial supertrawlers are removing the krill they depend on.
During Operation Antarctica Defense 2026, independent scientists joined the crew of the Allankay to investigate this crucial feeding ground and document what could be the largest gathering of whales on Earth.
